And yes, I remember you.
Slinking through the corridors at night while no one was watching.
I saw you.
I knew you.
I remember the air in your veins breathing past my lips.
Filling every heartbeat until my teeth burned.
They didn’t know you had a secret.
Or where you went.
I knew you.
They say you don’t exist.

Intriguing!
This poem is heavy with emotion, I’m in love with it! I love when the universe drops my style of writer in my lap! You never say even in your tags what you’re writing about leaving it up to the writer to decide. Very, heavy writing, very heavy indeed! Reminds me of my poem Remembering, I’ve shared the link below if interested in seeing some comparisons. You are a writer indeed!
Thank you for sharing your gift!https://mentalnotes1.wordpress.com/2012/09/21/remembering-poetry/
Why thank you. ๐ I will totally check it out! I like it when I find poets who hit my lyrical spot. If that makes sense. ๐ ๐
Yes, that’s exactly it! I don’t want to tell anyone what it means. I think it’s for each person to find in poetry what they need. ๐๐
Beautiful Daphne!
